Columbus is full of fun, cheap & UNIQUE events and opportunities to date & go out on the town! Not everything is under $20, but we still want you to know what cool local things are going on in Cbus. Hence our newest weekly post – Uniquely Columbus!
This week in Uniquely Columbus, we’re highlighting…
Polar Bear Plunge! & Fiery Foods Weekend! & Game Show! & Wild Goose Creative!
Friday (today!) [8p-10p] Head downtown to the Columbus Museum of Art for their Game Show! $10 to enter, but free to compete in the 1970s game show theme of zany contests. Snacks & cash bar.
Saturday [10:30a-4p] Columbus Zoo for the annual Polar Bear Plunge, which raises money for the Special Olympics. It’s $10/person to enter the zoo, but this event is free to watch! Participants have to raise $75 or more to jump in next to the furry creatures, but you can take your date to watch them freeze their bottoms off! Rob & I (and our whole NYC family) did a polar bear plunge on New Years Day in the Atlantic Ocean at Coney Island. It’s a heart starter, that’s for sure! This year, I stayed in the sub-zero water for a full 30 seconds!
Saturday & Sunday [9a-5pSAT; 12p-5pSUN ] North Market is hosting their annual Fiery Foods Weekend, which includes a lot of spicy, local cheap eats, events & contests! It’s free, but there are some tasting fees. And there is beer this year!
Saturday [8p] Wild Goose Creative (2491 Summit Street) for an evening with local comedian & magician Michael Kent. $10!
Columbus is so cool, that even in February, we have awesome & unique things to do!
Happy Dating,
PocketBook Jess
