So Rob & I didn’t go on an official $20 date this weekend BUT we still had a great weekend! On Saturday, we did “research” for a future $20 date by going on a double-date with my wonderful mom & step-dad to Basil (a Thai restaurant) in the Short North, followed with a walk to Jeni’s Ice Cream. Yummmmm x 1000!

Spring is Here!
Social Work Month!
March is Social Work Month! And because of that, I would love to shout out my fellow Social Workers!!!
Top 5 Reasons Social Workers Rock:
- We champion access, equality and fairness.
- We advocate for people who need help addressing serious life challenges and exploring their options.
- The Social Work profession was established more than 100 years ago to provide as many people as possible with the tools and support they need to overcome adversity (poverty, illness, addiction, abuse, discrimination, etc.) and reach their full potential.
- We work to change systems and customs that limit the ability of vulnerable individuals and groups to lead fulfilling and productive lives.
- We believe we have a responsibility to effect positive change for the future.

Rob & I thoroughly enjoyed this Short North date! We first started with an amazing dinner @ Surly Girl Saloon. They have pretty great happy hours deals–on Thursday we enjoyed the $3 Frito Pie Special, (& want to go back on a Tuesday for their taco special!) Frito Pie was yummy along with happy hour beer & a Sassy Senorita pizza. I love Surly Temples (Red Pop + Vodka), but couldn’t have one with this $20 date because it would have put us over! Maybe Taco Tuesday I can though…hmm…. Read more

Rob & I LOVE going on this $20 date and it has started to become a regular Friday night thing for not just Rob & I but some of our friends as well! This past Friday we had a “group date” and went to the Lane Avenue location of Whole Foods and had an awesome time. You pay $5 for a wine glass (that you get to take home AND if you bring it back the next time, it’s only $4!) and with that you get a card with that night’s theme. Five tables are placed throughout the store and at each is a friendly Whole Foods staff member who tells you a little bit about each wine & food sample (all food samples are made in the store yummmm).
